Flight selection

From a pleasure flight (e.g. after a hike up the mountain so you don’t have to walk down) to a 1-hour flight over the Alpstein. Cross-country flights are the crowning glory of the flight selection, where you fly the longest and furthest.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, paragliding is safe. The risk involved in tandem paragliding is comparable to other outdoor sports. Our sport of flying is not dangerous, but it does not forgive carelessness. For this reason, commercial tandem flights in Switzerland are subject to strict guidelines. And all pilots must meet this standard!

If you are afraid of heights, that is no obstacle! Many pilots are familiar with the phenomenon of being afraid and feeling extremely uncomfortable on a tower or at the edge of a cliff, but this negative feeling gives way to an absolute sense of well-being when flying on the glider.

We glide gently down the mountain! This gives you enough time to get used to the changing perspective! A good guide is if you can take an open chairlift, you can usually also fly on a tandem.

Anyone who wants to fly, is healthy and weighs between 30 and 90 kg can take part. Tall and athletic participants may weigh up to 100 kg. There is no minimum age requirement, but young people under the age of 16 need the consent of a parent or guardian. You don’t need to be exceptionally fit, just a few quick steps at the start are required to take off.

We fly all year round. Appointments at weekends and during vacations are particularly popular and should be booked early. Short-term requests will also be considered (just let us know). Flying with a paraglider depends on the weather. The launch decision is always made at the launch site, there is no flight guarantee.

In principle, two tandem flights can start at the same time. To do this, the booking must be made in good time so that another pilot is on site for that day. Do not hesitate to ask.

The meeting point will be announced the evening before from 8 pm. Either by e-mail or WhatsApp. The start of the mountain depends very much on the weather and therefore the forecast can be determined as accurately as possible for the following day.

Flying is mainly done in the Alpstein. The Kronberg, Ebenalp and Hoher Kasten launch sites offer a good starting point for many different weather conditions. Desired locations can be requested – just let us know.

Ankle-high hiking boots are best for take-off and landing. It does get a bit chilly on the flight, so a windproof jacket and hiking pants are recommended. Sunglasses or outdoor goggles are recommended to enjoy the flight with good visibility. Clothing should be appropriate for the season.
